
Lozano Winterhalder
I am a biologist, master in Arts, and I followed a Ph. D. Program in Philosophy.
I am a professor of Environment and Sustainability at ESADE Business School (University Ramon Llull), where I teach those issues and I lead several lines of research focused mainly on Climate Change and the problem of energy, and Circular Economy.
In 2017, the team of the project OIKOS, a project focused on sustainability sensitivation and diffusion, received the ESADE EDUCATIONAL INNOVATION AWARD 2016-2017.
I participate as a tutor in the program SUD (University Program for Development).
I am tutor of research in the Global Master for International Management, organized by the Virginia University (US), ESADE and the University of Lignan (Guangzhou, China).
I collaborate also with the Global System for Sustainable Develop-ment (MIT).
In the past, I worked as a professor at:
- IQS (Institut Químic de Sarríà) - Master in Business Environmental Engineering.
- Blanquerna - Postgraduate in Environmental Education.
- Institut Borja de Bioètica - Environmental Ethics.
- School of Tourism and Hospitality Management St. Ignasi.
At the same time I am an international speaker -having given lectures, courses, seminars... in more than forty countries- and consultant. I work for the American consultancy, CEC International, headquartered in Boston (US) with offices in Bogotá and Buenos Aires. My main project was a consultancy for the Government of Colombia with the participation of the social agents, focused on Prevention and Adaptation in front the Climate Change.
I am part of the Higher Education network of the Ellen MacArthur Foundation, the best specialists at the moment in Circular Economy at a global level, and of the Latin American network of experts in that specialty. Last June I held a training workshop with the first ones in London.
I have recently been appointed member of the Spanish Advisory Council for the Circular Economy, promoted by the Club Excenecia en Sostenibilidad. I is formed by four Spanish ministries and the most important Spanish companies. By the way, I was a member of the Jury for the 1st Circular Economy Spanish Awards, sponsored by BASF (See press release at the end of this page).
Circular Economy is my main focus of interest right now, because I consider it as the only way to save the planet and to live in harmony with nature.
In June 2018, I participated in a seminar in Berlin for training global leaders on climate reality within the "Climate Reality Project" led by Al Gore. Climate change and the problem of energy is also one of my priority topics in research and action.
I am member and delegate for Barcelona, of the Gross National Happiness Center Spain, ambassador of the kingdom of Bhutan and its concepts of ecodevelopment and happiness.
I am a member of the Icelandic environmental association Landvernd.
I am too Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts (UK) and I am a member of the group for Sustainable Development.
I was a member of the board of the United Nations Spanish Association. During this period, I participated in the Summit of Earth, Rio+5, in New York, as worldwide representative of the national UN associations.
I was also member of the Sustainable Council of the city of Barcelona.
I was involved in the UNESCO movement. I occupied the secretariat of the UNESCO Club in Barcelona during four years.
I speak Spanish, English, Catalan, French and German.
Judo competition was my sport during my youth.
