Carla Collins is an award-winning comedian, actress, television host and writer who has also worked extensively in the field of voice-over commercials and animation. A gifted stand-up, she has been hailed by the Canadian press as "Canada's Tina Fey" and the "Queen of Comedy" and performs all over the United States and Canada. Carla is also a regular at the Laugh Factory in LA. Collins' hysterical television series "Carlawood" is a hit with both viewers and audiences a like and season two of the doc-comedy begins shooting this fall.

Carla just finished shooting the sketch comedy pilot "The National Banana Show" for Jerry (Airplane!) Zucker. She can also be seen in the upcoming B movie parody "Bitch Slap" as a bride assassin.

Carla is currently working of the movie "The Hack", a comedy/horror film in which she stars as a comedian who kills other performers for their material.

Carla is writing her first book "Angels, Vampires and Douche Bags" which will be released by Burman Books in the spring of 2010.

Carla has hosted a variety of television series and shows including "Entertainment Now", "ET Canada", "The Gemini Awards", "Behind the Scenes at Just for Laughs", "Live from the Red Carpet", "Chez Carla" and "The Canadian Music Awards". Her one-hour comedy special "The Wonderbra Years" is one of the highest-rated in CTV's Comedy Now series and was the recipient of the Gold Award at the Houston Comedy Festival.

A talented actress, Carla starred on the campy Showcase primetime soap "Paradise Falls". She has also appeared in numerous movies, movies of the week and popular series including "Doc', "Tracker" and "Degrassi: The Next Generation".

Collins was the first woman to anchor a major market morning radio show in Canada on Mix 99.9 in Toronto.

Carla's voice can be heard on several popular cartoons including "Cyberchase", "Total! Drama! Action!", "Total! Drama! Island!" and "Braceface".

Carla currently lives in Malibu with her actor husband and rescue wonder dogs Buster and Dr. Zira. Collins practices yoga, Kabbalah and consults with a psychic colon therapist. She is now officially one adopted African baby away from becoming a complete Hollywood cliché.
