With more than two decades as an International Flight Attendant, LaWana has traveled the world, gaining firsthand insights into how culture shapes connection, through communication, and shared community exchange. Her immersive studies abroad in Ghana, Cuba, Honduras, and Costa Rica further deepen her lived experience.


LaWana is also an Author and Adjunct Professor, where she teaches and speaks on intercultural awareness, and cultural humility, which is essential for corporations with deployed global teams.. She holds a B.A. in English, an MBA in Marketing, and Graduate Certificates in African American Studies/Literature and Diversity & Inclusion.
