"When the Heat Rises, It's a Call to Action!". As a decorated veteran firefighter and burn survivor, Lt. Joe inspires audiences to harness the fire inside them to ignite their full potential.

A dynamic, spiritually guided transformational speaker, Lt. Joe Morgan guides the audience in discovering how to use their power of resilience from within. He spent 14 years in the District of Columbia Fire Department protecting the Nation’s Capital, its residents, visitors, and National and International Leaders. Morgan was severely burned while fighting a house fire, where the temperature rose to an unimaginable 1500 degrees. Although the fire had cut off his exit, staying calm, focused, and being A.W.A.R.E., he used his training to escape under his power. Lt. Joe sustained 2nd and 3rd-degree burns over 65% of his body and was given a 5% chance to live. He spent 85 days in the hospital, sixty of them in the I.C.U.

After undergoing over 40 surgeries, throughout Lt. Joe’s long journey of recovery and self-discovery, Joe discovered a power that ignited a fire inside him. He was forced into retirement as an officer, leader, instructor, facilitator, and burn survivor, but that didn’t stop him. Lt. Joe has been sharing his story of resilience and going from first responder to burn survivor, inspiring firefighters and various audiences for over two decades. He is now bringing his message to the public, multiple organizations, and businesses, with a heart for first responders and the Healthcare industry, to share what it takes, “When the Heat Rises, It’s a Call to Action!”
