J. Lynn Jones is a veteran of education. During his 43-year career, he has been a teacher, principal, and district office administrator. He was responsible for Special Education, Title I, ESL, Indian Education, and Migrant services, in Nebo School. He is also a well-known speaker, consultant, and trainer.
J. Lynn has been recognized as Utah’s National Distinguished Principal, was the Special Education Director of the Year, and is a recipient of the National Milken Educator Award. He served as President of the Utah Association of Elementary School Principals, Chairman of the Mountainland Head Start Board of Directors, and as a member of the United Way of Utah County Board of Directors.
J. Lynn’s speaking, training, coaching, and consultation services have benefitted schools, businesses, government agencies, and corporations in more than 30 states across the country. He has also presented at a variety of state, regional and national conferences including the National Title I, National Special Education Directors, and National Elementary School Principal Conferences. J. Lynn has contributed to the Leader in Me Blog, has written several short stories, and was the education contributor to the book: Customers Only Want Two Things. He and his wife, Gayleen, have four children and sixteen grandchildren. They reside in Spanish Fork, Utah where they enjoy a variety of family and outdoor activities. One of J. Lynn’s favorite activities is reading to elementary school children in the classes where his grandchildren attend.
