Aaron has held several technical leadership positions at the National Security Agency over the last 24 years. Currently, as a Senior Executive Service (SES) member, he is the NSA Technical director for Cybersecurity Analysis and Mitigations Group in NSA's Cybersecurity Directorate. His areas of expertise include systems engineering, cybersecurity, Insider Threat analysis and analytics, Artificial Intelligence/Machine learning, and bow ties. Dr. Ferguson, an international speaker, has published several articles on diversity, cybersecurity, and Data Analytics. He received his BS in Electrical Engineering from Howard University; an MS in Operations Research from the University of New Haven; and; an MS and PhD in Applied Math and Statistics from the University of Delaware. Dr. Ferguson, a New York City native, loves to play, coach, and watch basketball and is an unapologetic fan of the NY Yankees, Giants, Mets, and the mercurial Knicks.
COACHING PHILOSOPHY: I want to build resonant leaders— leaders that deliver a prolongation and intensity of sound leadership. Resonant leaders focus on building strong relationships while applying emotional intelligence. As a Resonant Leader you will have a lasting impact on individuals, the community, and the workplace. Resonant leadership allows leaders to connect and interact with people in a unique way. Followers of a resonant leader are likely to be more comfortable sharing their thoughts, opinions, and challenges. Being a resonant leader incorporates the mentality that we are all in this together. It is not just your problem or my problem, but our problem. Resonant leaders build strong and transparent relationships with their followers. This type of collaboration between leader and followers can positively influence a team to be more resilient and successful. I also like to have fun! I have a sense of humor that will make your coaching sessions fun!
