She co-founded, served as CEO for, and led the sale of two companies in less than six years: Subserveo Inc (founded in 2008 and sold 2011) and Paradata Systems Inc. (founded in 1995 and sold in 2006). Shannon is highly regarded for creating a strategic execution framework, known as Metronomics which she first created in her own company and later validated in her second company by achieving rapid growth and a successful exit. Shannon now coaches CEOs who aspire to emulate this success using her strategic execution framework.
Shannon is the author of four books: “The Metronome Effect: The Journey to PredictableProfit”, “3HAG Way”, “Metronomics”, and her latest book “The M Game: The Metronomics Monograph.”
Among her numerous accolades, Shannon received the 2022 Universal Women’s Network "Game Changer" award, was recognized as one of Canada’s Top 100 Most Powerful Women in 2018, 2020, and 2022, and earned Canada’s Top 40 under 40 in 2001. She was honored with the Sarah Kirke Award for Canada’s Leading Women Entrepreneurs in 2006 and named Deal Maker of the Year in Vancouver in 2011, ranking among the top three midmarket deals on Wall Street that year.
Shannon has more than 30 years of experience serving on for profit and not for profit boards. Shannon has a breadth of experience serving in a variety of roles including Board Chair and various Committee Chair roles. She currently serves on the British Columbia Automobile Association as Board Chair, Canadian Sport Institute – Pacific, and Luge Canada. Some of the boards Shannon has served on in the past include Alberta Treasury Branches, Norsat International, Subserveo Inc, ACETECH, BC Premier’s Technology Council, Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation, Capilano College, Electronic Transactions Association, Whistler Mountain Ski Club and BC Luge.
Shannon is a passionate about sport in Canada. She grew up playing multiple varsity sports in grade school and three varsity sports in university. Susko played on many club and provincial teams. Shannon is an experienced certified coach of soccer, hockey and alpine skiing. She is a certified official in Alpine Skiing and Luge. And is a very proud to have been a volunteer at the Vancouver 2010 Olympics and as a Sochi Olympic Test Volunteer – both for Alpine Skiing.
Shannon has a BComm(Accounting/MIS), BSc(Comp Sci), from Saint Mary’s University and Masters in Computer Science from the Technical University of Nova Scotia. She is an avid endurance triathlete, alpine skier, surfer and a current member of the Canadian Master’s Field Hockey team. She is married with three children 19, 20, 21 and resides in beautiful Whistler, BC.
