Dr. Heather Macdonald has been working with at-risk children and teens for the last nineteen years. She recognized her love for street children when working with at-risk youth in Mexico City. Dr. Macdonald continued to work with at-risk children through schools, young offender facilities and therapeutic treatment settings in both clinical and management positions.. She obtained an MA in Marriage and Family Therapy and a PhD in Clinical Psychology. "Learning from the Inside Out" has been Heather's life long journey towards the understanding of how the relationships we have with each other and our brains determines our academic success or failure. Overcoming her own Learning Disabilities has given her a passion to help other children get to know and understand their own brain.
