Sue Maitland
PCC
BC, CANADAWhy do so many people settle for a mundane life?
After a successful career spanning over 2 decades in the world of IT consulting, including a spell as a Resource Manager and Recruiter and a decade as a top Sales Executive, Sue Maitland PCC finally paused and asked herself "What would make me excited to get up in the morning?" It wasn't a promotion, or the next big sale, it was training to become a professional coach so she could help others live a more inspired life.
In 2013, Sue made the leap and trained to become an ICF Accredited Coach. Since then has helped hundreds of people transition into living a more fulfilled and inspired life.
She now speaks at conferences and leads workshops upon request on the importance building a personal & professional network, priority setting, the importance of practicing self-care, women in IT and more recently how to stay sane while dealing with COVID-19.
Sue's audiences appreciate that she makes herself vulnerable by sharing her own stories of personal challenges she's overcome e.g. Sue hated to network and pushed herself to break through her fear and discomfort and now she's a passionate advocate for the need for everyone to build a solid connections through networking and is an in-demand speaker on this topic.
Sue considered writing a book, and after much deliberation, chose to design something more practical instead. She developed a video-based workshop to help people clarify their top priorities - a key component of living a more inspired life. The What's Important to Me NOW? workshop has helped hundreds of people around the world get clarity on what's most important for this phase of their life and that can help them make empowered choices.
An engaging and thought-provoking speaker, Sue is equally comfortable connecting with large, medium and small groups. Sue's goal is always to make a connection with each member of her audience and leave with some new insight or perspective. She leverages her coaching skills and invites her audience to consider thought provoking questions.
