Brian was born in Tallahassee, Florida and raised in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina before moving to Raleigh, NC in 1989 to become a ring announcer for World Championship Wrestling.

He is the owner of Brian Pate Entertainment which he opened in 1987 which is a DJ booking agency in Raleigh/Durham, North Carolina. He also owns Brian Pate Seminars where he conducts training on a variety of topics troughout the southeastern United States.
