IN, USMy career as a financial market analyst began in 1994 at the CME working with SP500 and Treasury trading groups. I became a Commodity Trading Advisor in 1996 and now work with professional investors and risk managers as well. In 2000, I launched my financial newsletter, Structural Logic. The newsletter is a risk management tool providing clients with market research and insights that they can use profitably in their own investing and trading. Structural Logic’s mission is to meet the informational and educational needs of active investors and traders.
In September 2001, I published “Don’t fight the Fed, You Just Might Win” in Futures Magazine when Fed Policies were clearly not working as intended. In May 2001, I published “No Cure for Mad Dow Disease” in Futures Magazine when the Dow was on the cusp of its biggest bear market since 1974. Excerpts of my financial newsletter have been quoted in Barron’s weekly magazine in 2006 and 2007.
One wealth management client has introduced me to his investors as his “secret weapon.” Another client calls me ‘the mad scientist.’ During the worst stock market crash since 1929, a hedge fund client emailed me on Nov 11 2008 to say: “Hey John - I just wanted to say your work has been awesome the last 6-8 weeks. Outstanding job, Bill”
I can speak on and/or moderate virtually ANY topic related to investing, trading and the economy, The most popular topics are:
1) How to Avoid the Next Bear Market: Dodging the next bullet.
2) Where to Invest Now: An up-to-the-minute analysis of the current economy and what it means for today's investors.
3) Trade Outside The Box: A 3-4 hour educational seminar and workshop on trading and investing.
Financial Blog at Successful Trading Tips
In July 2007, as an adjunct to the Structural Logic financial newsletter, I began a financial blog called SuccessfulTradingTips.com. This blog is all about the financial markets, the economy, and ultimately investing and trading.
Riding the Storm Out
Published in February 2009, Riding the Storm Out is a timely title on the financial crisis and how to avoid the next bear market.

Educational DVD’s: Behavioral Finance Modeling and Trade Outside the Box
A 75 minute educational DVD Behavioral Finance Modeling published in Atlanta, June 2009. A three hour educational DVD called Trade Outside the Box for traders and investors published at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange July 2009.
Education
I received my B.A at St. Olaf College in Northfield MN – 1985.
The bulk of my financial and economic background now comes from over fifteen years of self study (I began self study in 1990 on my own) and mentoring that I have accrued amongst my professional peers and clients.
I am happily acquainted with most of the relevant cutting edge financial and economic research coming out of Wharton's School of Business and the University of Chicago. This educational path serves me quite well and provides a unique platform upon which I serve and meet the needs of my clients today.
