BIO

Suzan grew up in Silicon Valley as it transformed from humble orchards to the #1 innovation economy in the world.

During her early career in marketing innovation, Suzan played a key role in many industry firsts: from the early adoption of ATMs, the first internet-enabled consumer electronics, to the first female sexual desire drug; as well as ten new consumer packaged goods products, all market successes.

Suzan has founded three successful start-ups: a fashion accessories brand, Suzan Briganti Inc., an innovation consultancy called Totem that served Fortune 500s; and now Swarm Vision, a software-as-a-service company focused on leveraging innovation talent in the enterprise. Swarm is used by Fortune 500s and government agencies to drive innovation internally, by transforming individuals and teams for the innovation age.

Suzan earned the DIVA Designer of the Year Award for her novel fashion product, Suzan Briganti Handbags. She won HR Tech Product of the Year for the Swarm Innovation Profiler, and two US utility patents on the underlying software for Swarm Vision. 

As CEO and founder of Swarm, Suzan conducted the world’s largest study of serial, successful innovators. Suzan contributes her deep knowledge of the people side of innovation to her work on ISO innovation standards.

Suzan is a popular speaker and blogger. She holds a BA from Trinity College, University of Toronto where she assembled her own major on the history of ideas; she graduated Summa Cum Laude with an MBA from Boston University. She also holds a design degree from Italy; and attended Stanford University with course work on Strategic Management of Innovation; and Silicon Valley’s Product School.

Suzan represents the United States on TC 279, Innovation Management. She is a world expert on the ISO56008 standard on innovation measurements and metrics, and served a key role developing the personas of various customer types, as part of WG-4 for the ISO56004/TR technical report on innovation management assessment.
