Hannah Richardson

Hannah Richardson

Illinois, U.S.A

Hannah Richardson has a breadth of experience in public and independent Montessori education. She's seen what helps and what hinders firsthand. Let's talk about how to do it.

Hannah Richardson is CEO & founder of Montessori Makers Group, which focuses on

adult-focused or back-end practice in Montessori schools. She has been a Montessori

educator for over 20 years. She has served as a guide or teacher, consultant, coordinator, coach, school leader, and change-maker in this work. She has built schools from the ground up, shaped leaders, strengthened skills for practitioners, overseen $14+mill budgets & hundreds of

employees, and supported bringing schools' visions to life. She has a passion for the

most challenging parts of the work and believes everyone can reach their maximum potential.

Hannah believes that Montessori philosophy and practice can be used to inform all parts of our lives and experiences because the philosophy lends itself to an abject respect for others, an honoring of the varying needs of people to learn, and a necessity to learn to function well in community so that everyone can thrive. Her daily work focuses on helping people see how Montessori can be made modern. Hannah can share how the same tenets that make Montessori work for so many children and families can also ensure you can reach your maximum potential.

Hannah has experience in independent schools with 90-550+ students and public

neighborhood, magnet, and charter schools with student bodies just as large in many urban settings. She has presented at various conferences, including Association Montessori Internationale, Montessori for Social Justice, and more. She has been invited to work with think tanks, such as Montessori Leaders Collaborative, and others in the greater education field. She is trained in ABAR practice and brings it into all facets of her work. Recently, Hannah has begun to focus on the need for effective communication in the curation of environments that benefit the needs of all parties.

With over two decades of experience in everything from material procurement, budgets, data tracking, system and structure creation, protocol establishment, and the building of practice, there is no better place to learn the knowledge and skills that can help people feel less opaque and more organized, in schools as well as other organizations.
