
Alan Humphries
Alan was born in North Carolina in 1953. He was raised in South Carolina. He graduated from Union High School in 1973. Alan and Miriam were married in 1974. He attended West Coast Bible College and graduated in 1977 with an AA and a BA degree in Christian Ministries. He and Miriam pastored Thornton Ave Church of God in Newark, California from 1979-1986. Alan served as Development Director at West Coast Christian College in 1986. They moved to Soldotna, Alaska in 1987 to pastor the Soldotna Church of God until their retirement in January 2021. They are now establishing a professional coaching business. They are both Certified Professional Coaches with the John Maxwell Team.
Alan served as volunteer Chaplain for the Alaska Dept. of Corrections at Wildwood Correctional Complex for over 30 years. He also has a passion to teach Anger Management. He has taught Anger Management all across the state of Alaska in prisons and schools and communities. He has worked with the Recovery community extensively! He has spoken in many drug and alcohol Recovery programs. Alan and Miriam are both group leaders with over 10 years experience in Beauty for Ashes, a program focusing on domestic violence, abuse and neglect in the Alaska Native community and beyond!
