Speaker Bio

Luke Soderling is an experienced public speaker, with a dynamic and engaging method of connecting with his audience.  As a master plumber, he has spent nearly 20 years selling service to clients. He has studied sales and interpersonal communications which have been vital in being able to connect and motivate his audience.  As a husband and father of 5 boys, Luke leads a busy and fun filled life. In 2017 Luke was selected as a survivalist on the Discovery Channel's new show, "The Wheel".  Luke survived in 6 places in South America over 60 days alone.  With ingenuity, hard work and determination he excelled in the wild, building complex shelters with the materials available, catching 142 fish and killing a caiman with a machete. His drive and determination in wilderness survival is only overshadowed by the grit and determination he showed as he beat stage 3 thyroid cancer in 2013.  The main lessons Luke likes to share is 1. How we are much stronger than we think we are, and that no matter what life throws at you, you never ever give up. 2. To find the small things in life to be thankful for.  It's only when we see the small joys around us that we can truly see how good we really have it and be thankful for what we have.
With a lifetime of stories and examples he has a plethora of analogies to help his audience understand the truths and feel as though they were actually there.

How to self motivate when facing corporate trials

What does starving the jungle, hunting aligators with a pointy stick and eating larvae have to do with the corporate world?

How stage 3 cancer helped me survive for 60 days alone in the wild.

I took on the challenge to survive in the wilds of South America alone for 60 days to show the world that there is life after cancer. Little did I know that the lessons I learned while fighting my battle against cancer would be the single biggest help to me in the wild.

If your group needs a pep talk and encouragement to keep up the good fight, this is the talk for you.

If I can beat cancer and 60 days alone in the wild, your group can take on anything!
