Tony Esposito is best remembered for his time with the Chicago Blackhawks from 1969 - 84. He was one of the pioneers of the now popular butterfly style. Esposito is the younger brother of Boston Bruins great Phil Esposito. Both brothers had notable careers and are members of the Hockey Hall of Fame. Esposito retired from professional play in 1985 and was named to the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1988. In 1978, The Hockey News ranked Esposito #79 on its list of the 100 greatest hockey players.
