Considered one of NASCAR's greatest drivers of all-time, Bobby Allison was a three-time winner of the Daytona 500 in 1978, 1982 and 1988 and won the Winston Cup title in 1983. Allison was born in Miami, Florida on December 3, 1937 and competed in his first race at the age of 17 in 1955. He won his first NASCAR race in 1966 at Oxford Plains Speedway. Allison would later move to Alabama and was part of the "Alabama Gang" whose members included son Donnie, Neil Bonnett and Red Farmer.
