Brian Nattrass is an internationally acclaimed author, speaker and senior corporate advisor on the strategy and execution of sustainability initiatives and corporate responsibility. He is the coauthor of Dancing With the Tiger - Learning Sustainability Step by Natural Step (New Society Publishers). It focuses on the dynamics of innovation, organizational transformation, and the integration of more sustainable business practices. He also coauthored Community Sustainability Toolkit, a manual for community sustainable development, and The Natural Step for Business: Wealth, Ecology & the Evolutionary Corporation. It has become an international sustainability bestseller, and is used by businesses, universities, and government agencies around the world.

Nattrass has been retained as sustainability advisor to many organizations, both private and public, including Starbucks and Nike in the private sector, and NASA and the U.S. Army in the public sector. A former All-American athlete, he had a twenty-year career in corporate law and finance prior to dedicating himself to corporate responsibility and sustainability. Having both served as CEO of a public manufacturing company and led the consulting practice of The Natural Step in the U.S. and Canada, he brings a balanced and informed perspective to the issues of sustainability and corporate responsibility.

In 2004, he was awarded a Batten Fellowship at the Darden Graduate School of Business Administration, University of Virginia, to pursue research and writing on sustainable business practices and sustainable innovation. His conference and educational presentations focus on the strategy and execution of sustainability initiatives in both corporations and governmental agencies.
