As an 18-year-old entrepreneur and social media marketer, I have come to learn how valuable knowledge is. How important it is to learn every single day, and invest in yourself. And how important it is to listen.

I started my business journey in 2007, at the age of 7, buying 'Scratch and Sniff' sticker sets from Cheap as Chips, and reselling them to my classmates at double the price. Since early days, I have always been one to create, and then sell, whether it was drawings, structures or food. I always knew that I loved to sell, and I loved the process of growing even more. In 2015, I started my first job as a shoe sales associate, where I learnt what an upsell, downsell and what sales really was: solving a problem for the customer.

In 2017, I turned my passion for videography into a business, working with small businesses in my local to create social media content for use as marketing material. Although I was busy studying away, I knew as a Year 11 student how important social media would be for businesses, and how I could leverage it to build my own brand. This lead to me starting my journey as a social media marketer, using my previously acquired understanding of consumer behaviour and social media to sell products online for businesses through paid traffic and sales funnels.

Upon finishing my final year of high school, I was awarded as the Order of Australia Student Citizen of the Year, Australian Defence Force Long Tan Award for Leadership as well as numerous other academic accolades and community achievements. However, after completing my study at University as part of the Headstart Scholarship during Year 12, I knew that I was not going to follow the traditional path. University and a degree was not for me.

Since that realisation, the realisation that social media is a tool with enormous power and opportunity, I have started to share my experiences and help business owners and professionals understand how important it is to produce content and market themselves and their brands on unheard of scales. At this moment in time, there is no cheaper and more effective form of attention than social media marketing. So why isn't everyone using it?

The truth is, it requires more consideration than most businesses think.

As a leader and a person who loves public speaking, I love to share my thoughts and things I have learnt with others who are willing to change and willing to listen. My aim is not only to equip people with the knowledge and understanding to propel their personal brands or their business, but also to eliminate the limiting beliefs that are holding you back from getting to where you have always wanted to be in life.

With my professional speaking experience quite limited, I am looking for opportunities to share my knowledge with others, and incite change in the speaking space. If you are looking for someone to provide your team or the attendees of your event with tangible strategies and techniques to not only grow your business online, but also how to optimise your work environment and productivity, I would love to be involved.
