NL, CANADAIn 2014 Corina Walsh made the bold choice to leave her secure, well-paying job behind to venture out into the uncertain world of entrepreneurship. In the ten years that she worked in both the private and public sector she had noticed increasing levels of disengagement amongst her colleagues and outdated management and leadership practices that were not working in a 21st century workplace. She started her company, Shift People Development Inc., with the mission to help leaders create workplace cultures of commitment and trust.
Today, as a certified coach Corina works with professionals, teams, and businesses everyday to improve leadership, communication, and engagement. As an expert in emotional intelligence, Corina delivers keynotes, presentations, and interviews on how we can all leverage our emotions to be better leaders.
Corina holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Memorial University and a Master of Education in Lifelong Learning from Mount Saint Vincent University. Corina is the Newfoundland Chair of GroYourBiz, a business mastermind for women entrepreneurs. She also co-founded the Strong Women Society, an online platform where members share resources to help each other improve their lives, careers, and businesses. Corina is a featured blogger for the Huffington Post, a member of the Canadian Association of Professional Speakers, and was named as one of the Top 50 Leaders Under 40 in Atlantic Canada by 21 Inc. In her downtime Corina enjoys heading to the beach with her husband and son where they have competitions to find the best skipping rocks!
