Jo Huey, the Alzheimer's Advocate ®, is a specialist in helping caregivers (family, friends and paid) work through the maze of emotions and skills needed to assist a person with Alzheimer's disease or a related disorder. She shares lessons learned from her experience in multiple care settings to include Nursing Homes, Assisted Living, Home Health and Companion Care Companies from 1985 through the Hurricane Katrina Evacuation. Since 2006, Jo has had the opportunity to travel to 30 states to present her Alzheimer's educational materials at conferences. She is best known for her communication Tool "Ten Absolutes" and is the author of 2 books Alzheimer's Disease: Help and Hope and Don't Leave Momma Home With the Dog. In 2010 she created a stand alone self paced Louisiana certified training program for caregivers, The Ten Absolute Training System.
