I am the Program Committee Chair for the Kentucky Organization of Nurse Leaders. Each year we have a leadership conference for nurse leaders of all levels. Planning this event is a really big job - especially finding great and engaging speakers that our not-for-profit organization can afford. For our 2014 conference, with all of the changes going on in healthcare, our committee decided we need to find someone who could provide high quality education and information about how to deal with organizational change. Fortunately, one of our committee members put us in touch with Vivian Blade. Vivian was able to work our meeting into her schedule and created an excellent, very interactive and engaging presentation specific for our group's needs, about dealing with organizational change - thriving though change, and developing innovative strategies to address and facilitate change. Our business has been in a constant state of flux, as we await to learn the outcome of a prolonged acquisition process. Recently Vivian Blade came to speak to our team in the midst of this change. Vivian delivered the Communicating With Excellence workshop for our team's retreat. She provided a wealth of information that will help our team communicate more effectively with each other, with students, and across other departments we work with. She taught us the CRISP framework, which gives us an easy way to remember important communication principles, as well as tools and best practices to help us become better communicators. The session was great! Staff members are still discussing the CRISP framework. Vivian was easy to work with in getting the program organized. She was always responsive and professional. I look forward to inviting Vivian back to work with our team again in the future.

I had the pleasure of working with Vivian Blade on planning a Business Professional Women/River City group's luncheon presentation. Vivian's topic---Getting Ready for Derby, Both Professionally and For Fun was a huge success! I found her approach to the presentation very innovative yet informative and she received rave reviews from our BPW/RC members and guests. Although the meeting started off with some technical difficulties---mainly not having a projector for her presentation---Vivian was such a terrific and engaging Speaker that the audience hardly noticed not having the Powerpoint slides projected on a screen. Vivian had no problems keeping the group's attention. She was extremely flexible and her casual but effective style for our meeting really provided a wonderful setting for attendees to share their ideas and perspectives. For a young professional, fresh into the workplace, it was critical for me to hear the five key elements that senior management looks for when evaluating performance and considering advancement.
